Information and Current Progress: The suspension is original with Boise Spring works retempering all the springs, replacing worn hardware and setting the ride height. It has a rebuilt 283 SBC with an Edlebrock Street performer carb and block hugger headers. The rebuilt TH350 transmission has an American Shifter Company shifter on it to make it look like the old SM420 4speed is still in it. All American Powder Coating did most of the undercarriage. The rear axle was replaced with a GM 14 bolt out of a 1978 ¾ ton. Dutchman Motorsports narrowed it to fit and put in a set of their custom 1541 alloy axle shafts. Idaho Drive train then took it and did a brake job and dropped in a 3.42/1 gear set and a 5 inch aluminum drive shaft. There is a modern retro radio in it that looks just like the 54/55 AM radio, but in addition to AM/FM, it is bluetooth and iTunes compatible. The truck is on track to be completed by June 16th and will be shown at the Idaho Chariots Show.
