JOB DESCRIPTION
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is looking for women who love Jesus and want to help give homeless women a safe and stable place to get a new start in life.
The NLP Resident Advisor must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The Facilities Coordinator must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
Job Summary: The NLP Resident Advisor position in Boise is a part-time temporary position available Saturday & Sunday, 1:30 pm – 10:00 pm. The Advisor oversees and assists residents staying in the New Life Program.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Assist Advisors & managers with special needs for residents
Driving residents to and from appointments
Interact with families of residents during visiting times
Running errands (walking or driving)
Keep the building secure
Interact with residents in a positive, compassionate manner
Oversee the completion of chores by residents
Facilitate general cleaning of the facility including laundry by the residents
Supervise the restocking of supplies, clothing, etc.
Assist in various fundraising events throughout the year
Help with other tasks and assignments as necessary
Knowledge/skills:
General computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented and good organizational skills
Work independently, make informed decisions, problem solve in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
Ability to model and hold strong boundaries
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Men’s Shelter First Cook – FT/PT, Boise #MSFC6

The First Cook must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The First Cook must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
JOB SUMMARY: The First Cook plans and prepares cafeteria-style meals, for guests staying at our shelters. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Interact with guests in a positive, compassionate manner
Work with volunteer servers and food preparers
Assist with Mission events which require the handling of food
Consult with Food Service Manager in all areas of foodservice
Responsible for deliveries and picking up food items from our warehouse facility
Ordering and purchasing approved items (food and food-related) needed to perform one’s duty
Complete other tasks and responsibilities as necessary
Knowledge/skills:
Must have cooking and prepping skills
Able to lift 50 lbs or more
Ability to stand on feet working in kitchen for prolonged periods of time
Able to demonstrate proper lifting technique
Valid drivers license
Qualifications:
Must have Food Handler’s Certificate
Experience in commercial food preparation/cooking desirable
High School Diploma or equivalent

Maintenance Coordinator – Full-Time, Boise, Nampa #MC7
JOB DESCRIPTION
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is seeking full-time experienced Maintenance Tech candidates to join the maintenance team.
The facility maintenance staff must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The facility maintenance staff must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
Job Summary:
The position reports to the Director of Maintenance and will provide support in the day-to-day building maintenance, operational activities and repairs at all Mission facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Performs hands-on maintenance-related activities including: painting, plumbing, electrical, patching walls, repairing doors, windows, locks, etc.
Communicates regularly with Director of Maintenance to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
Carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
Utilizes computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders and maintenance history of RM facilities
Knowledge/skills:
Requires sound judgment regarding use of equipment, tools, material, and manpower.
Proven general “handy-man” talents and skills e.g. excellent troubleshooting, problem solving and follow- through skills.
Skill in operation of motorized vehicles, power and hand tools and equipment for vehicle and mechanical system work; mechanic’s tools including jacks, hydraulic lifts, air tools, and other tools required for repairs and routine maintenance.
Ability to prioritize requests, follow procedures and keep accurate records.
Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, while remaining professional, flexible, proactive, resourceful, confidential and efficient.
Strong decision-making ability, problem analysis and solving skills.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with staff, students, and guests in person and on the phone.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Good physical condition, able to lift 50 lbs. safely.
Maintains an acceptable driving record (in accordance with our insurance carrier)

Job Summary: The Rescue Mission currently has a full-time position available in our men’s facilities which may include weekends and travel to other Mission facilities. This position requires motivation, the ability to learn quickly, thinking on your feet, plus following instructions carefully.

Administrative duties include filing, data entry, reception, and resource assistance.
