    Boise Rescue Mission Ministries' staff or authorized volunteers may periodically be present at volunteer opportunities to capture photos or video.   • Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

    Please review the opportunities we have available and apply for your top three preferences. We will be filling more than 1,000 volunteer slots between October 1 and December 31, with the majority reserved by November 1. Our needs fluctuate on a daily basis and your patience is greatly appreciated.
  • Sorting Groups (Dates TBD) Sorting Groups (8-15 volunteers for each event – men, women, children) What: Assist us in completing a wide variety of tasks in the warehouse and shelters. Where: Ministry Center, 308 S. 24th St., Boise, ID.
  • Holiday Food Box Build (November, Date TBD) What: Put together food boxes to be distributed at the Rescue Mission's Banquets in Boise and Nampa. Where: Boise Rescue Mission Ministry Center, 308 S. 24th St., Boise ID. Volunteer Shifts: • 9am - 12pm • 12pm - 3pm • 3pm - 6pm • 6pm - 9pm
  • Great Thanksgiving Banquet, Nampa (Saturday, November 21st) What: Approximately 200 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work two-hour shifts in a variety of roles. (Children should be over the age of 10) **Registration volunteers would ideally be bilingual and willing to work longer shifts** Where: College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave. Nampa, ID.
  • Great Thanksgiving Banquet, Boise (Tuesday, November 24th) What: Approximately 150 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work two-hour shifts in a variety of roles. (Children should be over the age of 10) **Registration volunteers would ideally be bilingual and willing to work longer shifts**
  • Toy loading, Toys for Tots (December, Date TBD) What: Load one or two large trucks with large bags of toys. Take toys to Nampa and Boise to unload. (Children should be over the age of 10) Where: Gowen Field
  • Christmas Event Toy Setup, Nampa (Saturday, December 19th) What: Sort bags of toys, prep for the event. (Children should be over the age of 10) Where: College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave. Nampa, ID.
  • Christmas Event Toy Setup, Boise (December, Date TBD) What: Sort toys, decorate, set tables, and prepare the facility to serve hundreds of meals the next day. Where: Cathedral of the Rockies, 717 N. 11th St., Boise, ID.
  • Christmas Banquet, Nampa (Saturday, December 19th) What: Approximately 200 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work two-hour shifts in a variety of roles. (Children should be over the age of 10) **Registration volunteers would ideally be bilingual and willing to work longer shifts** Where: College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave. Nampa, ID.
  • Christmas Banquet, Boise (Tuesday, December 22nd) What: Approximately 150 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work two-hour shifts in a variety of roles. (Children should be over the age of 10) **Registration volunteers would ideally be bilingual and willing to work longer shifts**
  • Christmas “Store” at City Light (Dates TBD) What: Set up and operate a temporary “store” where moms and dads staying in our shelters can shop for their children’s Christmas presents. Volunteers will be needed to help guests shop, wrap gifts, etc. **This volunteering opportunity is ideal for older children & families (over age 10, please) ** Where: City Light Home for Women and Children, 1404 West Jefferson St., Boise, ID.
  • Christmas Decorating/Undecorating (Dates TBD) What: Decorate our women and children’s shelters for Christmas. Then undecorate after Christmas. Where: • City Light Home for Women and Children, 1404 West Jefferson St., Boise, ID • Valley Women and Children’s Shelter, 869 W. Corporate Ln., Nampa ID
