  • Holiday Volunteer Opportunities

    Please review the opportunities we have available and apply for your top three preferences. We will be filling more than 1,000 volunteer slots between October 1 and December 31, with the majority reserved by November 1. Our needs fluctuate on a daily basis and your patience is greatly appreciated.
  • Sorting Groups (Dates TBD) Sorting Groups (8-15 volunteers for each event – men, women, children) What: Assist us in completing a wide variety of tasks in the warehouse and shelters. Where: Ministry Center, 308 S. 24th St., Boise, ID.
  • Holiday Meals (Date TBD) What: Prepare and serve meals in our Nampa and Boise shelters on crucial days of the holiday’s for brunch and dinner. Where: Either at • Valley Women and Children’s Shelter, 869 W. Corporate Ln. Nampa, ID 83651 • City Light Home for Women & Children 1404 W. Jefferson St. Boise, ID 83702
  • Great Thanksgiving Banquet, Nampa (Saturday, November 22nd) What: Approximately 200 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work 2-3 hour shifts in a variety of roles. Where: College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave. Nampa, ID.
  • Great Thanksgiving Banquet, Boise (Tuesday, November 25th) What: Approximately 150 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work 2-3 hour shifts in a variety of roles. Where: Vineyard Christian Fellowship - 4950 N Bradley St, Garden City, ID 83714
  • Christmas Event Toy Setup, Nampa (December December 19th) What: Sort bags of toys, prep for the event. (Children should be over the age of 10) Where: College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave. Nampa, ID.
  • Christmas Event Toy Setup, Boise (December 15th) What: Sort toys, decorate, set tables, and prepare the facility to serve hundreds of meals the next day. Where: Vineyard Christian Fellowship - 4950 N Bradley St, Garden City, ID 83714
  • Christmas Banquet, Nampa (Saturday, December 20th) What: Approximately 200 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work 2-3 hour shifts in a variety of roles. (To volunteer in toy room children need to be over the age of 10) Where: College Church of the Nazarene, 504 E. Dewey Ave. Nampa, ID.
  • Christmas Banquet, Boise (Tuesday, December 16th) What: Approximately 150 pre-registered guests each hour will attend a brief chapel service, enjoy a delicious meal, and receive a food box if needed. Most volunteers typically work 2-3 hour shifts in a variety of roles.   • Christmas Decorating Outside of City Light (Saturday, November 29th) What: Decorating the shelters for the holidays. **This volunteering opportunity is ideal for older children & families (over age 10, please) ** Where: City Light Home for Women and Children, 1404 West Jefferson St., Boise, ID.
  • Christmas Decorating Recourse Center and Guest House (Monday, December 1st) What: Set up and operate a temporary “store” where moms and dads staying in our shelters can shop for their children’s Christmas presents. Volunteers will be needed to help guests shop, wrap gifts, etc. **This volunteering opportunity is ideal for older children & families (over age 10, please) ** Where: City Light Home for Women and Children, 1404 West Jefferson St., Boise, ID.
  • Christmas Undecorating at City Light (Saturday, December 27th) What: Take down Christmas decorations after the holidays Where: City Light Home for Women and Children, 1404 West Jefferson St., Boise, ID
  • Christmas Store at Lighthouse Set Up (Wednesday, December 17th) What: Set up a temporary “store” where moms and dads staying in our Nampa shelters can shop for their children’s Christmas presents for free. Volunteers will be needed to help guests shop, wrap gifts, etc. Where: Lighthouse Rescue Mission, 304 16th Ave N, Nampa, ID 83687
  • Christmas Store at Resource Center Set Up (Thursday, December 18th) What: Set up a temporary “store” where moms and dads staying in our Boise shelters can shop for their children’s Christmas presents for free. Volunteers will be needed to help guests shop, wrap gifts, etc. Where: Resource Center, 1415 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
  • Christmas Store for Guests (Between December 18th-23rd) What: Help guests shop at the temporary “store” where moms and dads staying in our Boise shelters can shop for their children’s Christmas presents for free. Volunteers will be needed to help guests shop, wrap gifts, etc. Where: Resource Center, 1415 W Jefferson St, Boise, ID 83702
