Grocery Outlet locations at 5544 W. Fairview Ave. and 6969 W. Overland Rd will host their annual Independence from Hunger event starting on Monday, July 1st. Customers can donate at the register or purchase food items to feed homeless and hungry guests served at Boise Rescue Mission Ministries shelters. At the end of the month the Mission will purchase its most needed items at Grocery Outlet. When customers donate $5, they will receive a $5 coupon to use later at that location.
Rev. Bill Roscoe, President/CEO of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries says, “The yearly support of Grocery Outlet is helping change lives and gives hope to homeless men, women, and children in these summer months. Thank you to Grocery Outlet and our generous community for lending a helping hand to hungry and homeless neighbors right here in the Treasure Valley.”
