Services for the Homeless in Boise, Nampa, ID & Surrounding Areas
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries offers a variety of services to meet the needs of homeless men, women and children in Ada, Canyon and surrounding counties. Each year, we serve more than 220,000 meals, provide more than 105,000 safe nights of shelter, and distribute more than 25,000 items of clothing.
But providing for physical needs is just one small part of what we do at Boise Rescue Mission Ministries — we believe it’s just as important to care for emotional, mental and spiritual needs of individuals and families in our community. Through our programs and services, we’ve helped restore dignity, a sense of purpose, and hope for thousands of our homeless and hungry neighbors in the Treasure Valley. Emergency Services: Food & Shelter
Anyone in need of a hot meal or a safe place to stay is welcome to visit one of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries’ facilities — absolutely no prior arrangements necessary. No matter how busy we are, we will never turn someone away for emergency food or shelter due to lack of space.
Addiction Recovery: New Life Program
The New Life Program is a 12- to 24-month drug and alcohol addiction recovery program. Through discipleship, accountability, and a Christ-centered, Bible-based curriculum, we’ve helped more than 325 men and women overcome their addictions.
Veterans Ministry Program
In partnership with the Boise Veteran’s Affairs (VA), Boise Rescue Mission Ministries opened the Veterans Ministry Program (VMP) in 2010 to support the Treasure Valley’s homeless veteran population. Through individualized care and counseling, we’ve helped hundreds of veterans across Southwestern Idaho get back on their feet.
Women & Children
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries has two homeless shelters for women and children — City Light Home for Women and Children in Boise and Valley Women and Children’s Shelter in Nampa. From work-search assistance to counseling to addiction recovery, our programs are designed to help restore the lives of homeless women and their families.
