JOB DESCRIPTION

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is looking for men and women who love Jesus and want to help give homeless individuals a safe and stable place to get a new start in life.

The Food Services Cook must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The Food Services Cook must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.

JOB SUMMARY: The Food Service Worker will provide routine food preparation.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Welcomes volunteers and gives direction as needed.
Directs Daily tasks for assistant.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Assists with food preparation as directed, operating food production equipment as required to complete tasks.
Operates stove, oven, convection oven, grill.
Maintains, cleans, and sanitizes workstations after each meal daily.
Cleans and sanitizes dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other containers and returns to appropriate location in the kitchen area.
Refills condiments or other supplies.
Follows all safety and sanitation guidelines and regulations to ensure quality food service.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to read and follow instructions.
Good verbal communication skills.
Ability to operate cooking and food preparation equipment.
Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
Basic computer skills

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Knowledge of food service preferred.
Food Handlers Card

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be able to access and navigate all areas of facility.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
May be required to work in excessive heat and cold in association with the kitchen environment.

Job Summary: The Rescue Mission currently has a full-time position available in our men’s facilities which may include weekends and travel to other Mission facilities. This position requires motivation, the ability to learn quickly, thinking on your feet, plus following instructions carefully.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Administrative duties include filing, data entry, reception, and resource assistance.
Security
Janitorial
Help with other tasks and assignments as necessary

The Resident Advisor must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The Resident Advisor must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.

Job Summary: Boise Rescue Mission Ministries’ Women and Children’s Shelters in Boise and Nampa currently have full-time and part-time positions available in various shifts including swing and grave shifts. The resident advisor oversees and assists guests staying in our emergency shelters for homeless women and children.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Keep the building secure
Interact with guests in a positive, compassionate manner
Assist the guests with the intake process during the evening or help guests leave for the day
Oversee the completion of chores by guests
Prepare lunches
General cleaning of the facilities including laundry
Restock supplies, clothing, etc.
Data entry
May also participate in various fundraising events throughout the year
Help with other tasks and assignments as necessary

Knowledge/skills:

Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

Job Summary: Valley Women and Children’s Shelter in Nampa is currently looking for a Children’s Program Staff person. This person helps the Children’s Program Manager in supervising and meeting the needs of our children spiritually, academically and physically, including both structured learning time and free play time. This is a temporary full-time position from June 3^rd to August 20th, forty hours each week scheduled between 7:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Drive to various activities
Participate in daily devotions
Interactive play with children during all activities (i.e. swimming, outside games, dancing, etc.)
Supervise a group of children during Learning Center time
Interact with the children in a positive, compassionate manner
Ensure vans are filled with fuel and cleaned each eveningHelp with other tasks and assignments as necessary

Knowledge/skills:

Able to connect with children from age 5-15
Attention to detail
Ability to work in a changing environment

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries
1. We believe the Bible to be the only inspired, infallible, authoritative Word of God. 2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. 3. We believe in the Deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death, through His shed blood, and His bodily resurrection, and in His personal return in power and glory. 4. We believe in the salvation of lost and sinful men and regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for salvation. 5.
