The Receptionist must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. The Receptionist must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
Job Summary: The Receptionist will greet, assist, and provide direction and information to clients, visitors, and other guests of the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Greets clients, visitors, and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs or escorts him or her to the appropriate location.
- Answers, screens, and directs phone calls to staff; takes messages.
- Receives mail, documents, packages, and courier deliveries and delivers or distributes items.
- General knowledge of documenting client progress in a web-based system and protocols for handling confidential information.
- Performs administrative and clerical support tasks.
- Performs basic filing and recordkeeping.
- Performs other duties.
Knowledge/skills:
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements :
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is looking for a bilingual (English and Spanish) person who loves Jesus and wants to help give homeless men and women a safe and stable place to get a new start in life.
Boise Rescue Mission is currently looking for a Temporary Part-Time Holiday Guest Registrar. This position reports to the Community Engagement Director. The Guest Registrar must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries. The Guest Registrar must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
Job Summary: This is a temporary part-time position, up to 30 hours per week from September 23 to December 27, 2024. The schedule is 9:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday. Some prescheduled evenings and weekends are required.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Register families for the annual Thanksgiving and Christmas banquets.
- Answer questions about the banquets, via phone and email.
- Attend and help at the Rescue Mission’s annual banquets, banquet setups, and toy distribution in Boise and Nampa.
- Enter all registration information into databases and prepare necessary spreadsheets.
- Complete other tasks and responsibilities as necessary.
Knowledge/skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented and good organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. unassisted
Qualifications:

Job Summary: The Food Services Manager will oversee our kitchen operations, create an innovative menu, and prepare or coordinate meals for BRMM Guests. This is a full-time position at our women’s & children’s shelter in Nampa, ID.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversees the operations of the kitchen and pantry, ensuring that food is prepared safely, efficiently, and according to specifications or request.
- Ensures kitchen runs in accordance with all applicable health, safety, and hygiene codes and standards.
- Oversees stocking, ordering, and purchasing of ingredients, ensuring that necessary ingredients are available and as fresh as possible while also minimizing spoilage and waste.
- Maintains and inspects kitchen equipment and utensils, recommending repairs or replacements as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Trains and/or oversees training of kitchen staff.
- Schedules kitchen staff, assigning roles based on experience and skills.
- Supervises work product from kitchen and back-of-house staff.
- Coordinates with volunteers during meal periods.
- Coordinates with guests and guest service staff for kitchen chores/tasks.
Required Skills/Abilities:

Job Summary: The Boise Rescue Mission currently has a full-time position for a security staff at our River of Life Men’s Shelter in Boise. Shifts will vary but will mainly be 11:00AM to 7:30PM 5 days a week. The security staff monitors meals, guest check-in, and other high-volume times to ensure the safety and security of everyone in our facilities. They do random checks of the property and rooms, and assists shelter staff with dorm checks, dealing with problem guests, and coordinating with senior staff to solve problems dealing with the safe and secure day to day operations. This position requires motivation, ability to learn quickly, thinking on your feet, plus following instructions carefully.
Duties/Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Monitoring activity inside and outside of the facilities to include neighboring properties to help prevent injury to people and damage to property.
- Assisting in emergency situations, reporting on incidents and accidents to include downloading and saving any relevant camera footage, giving statements to emergency responders as needed.
- May occasionally be called on to work at other facilities and Mission events as needed.
Knowledge/skills:
- General computer skills
- Capable of operating Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Job Summary: Boise Rescue Mission Ministries’ Women and Children’s Shelters in Boise and Nampa currently have full-time and part-time positions available in various shifts including swing and grave shifts. The resident advisor oversees and assists guests staying in our emergency shelters for homeless women and children.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Keep the building secure
- Interact with guests in a positive, compassionate manner
- Assist the guests with the intake process during the evening or help guests leave for the day
- Oversee the completion of chores by guests
- Prepare lunches
- General cleaning of the facilities including laundry
- Restock supplies, clothing, etc.
- Data entry
- May also participate in various fundraising events throughout the year
- Help with other tasks and assignments as necessary
