JOB DESCRIPTION
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is looking for men who love Jesus and want to help give homeless men a safe and stable place to get a new start in life.
Applicant must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of the Mission. Applicant must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
Job Summary: The Rescue Mission currently has a full-time position available in our men’s facilities which may include weekends and travel to other Mission facilities. This position requires motivation, the ability to learn quickly, thinking on your feet, plus following instructions carefully.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Administrative duties include filing, data entry, reception, and resource assistance.
- Security
- Janitorial
- Help with other tasks and assignments as necessary
- Employees may also participate in various fundraising events throughout the year
Knowledge/Skills:
- General computer skills
- Capable of operating Microsoft office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.) Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Detail-oriented and good organizational skills
- Capable of working as a part of a team
- Clean driving record (No SR-22s)

Job Summary: Boise Rescue Mission Ministries’ Women and Children’s Shelters in Boise and Nampa currently have full-time and part-time positions available in various shifts including swing and grave shifts. The resident advisor oversees and assists guests staying in our emergency shelters for homeless women and children.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Keep the building secure
- Interact with guests in a positive, compassionate manner
- Assist the guests with the intake process during the evening or help guests leave for the day
- Oversee the completion of chores by guests
- Prepare lunches
- General cleaning of the facilities including laundry
- Restock supplies, clothing, etc.
- Data entry
- May also participate in various fundraising events throughout the year
- Help with other tasks and assignments as necessary
Knowledge/skills:
- General computer skills

- Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

Job Summary: The NLP Resident Advisor position in Boise is a full-time position available, some weekends, 2:00pm – 10:00pm. The Advisor oversees and assists residents staying in the New Life Program.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assist Advisors & managers with special needs for residents
- Driving residents to and from appointments
- Interact with families of residents during visiting times
- Running errands (walking or driving)
- Keep the building secure
- Interact with residents in a positive, compassionate manner
- Oversee the completion of chores by residents
- Facilitate general cleaning of the facility including laundry by the residents
- Supervise the restocking of supplies, clothing, etc.

Job Summary:
The Boise Rescue Mission currently has a full-time position for a security staff at our River of Life Men’s Shelter in Boise. Shifts will vary but will mainly be 11:00AM to 7:30PM 5 days a week. The security staff monitors meals, guest check-in, and other high-volume times to ensure the safety and security of everyone in our facilities. They do random checks of the property and rooms, and assists shelter staff with dorm checks, dealing with problem guests, and coordinating with senior staff to solve problems dealing with the safe and secure day to day operations. This position requires motivation, ability to learn quickly, thinking on your feet, plus following instructions carefully.
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Monitoring activity inside and outside of the facilities to include neighboring properties to help prevent injury to people and damage to property.
- Assisting in emergency situations, reporting on incidents and accidents to include downloading and saving any relevant camera footage, giving statements to emergency responders as needed.
- May occasionally be called on to work at other facilities and Mission events as needed.

Warehouse Driver
Data Entry/Database Coordinator – Full-Time, Boise
JOB DESCRIPTION
Boise Rescue Mission Ministries is seeking a full-time Data Entry/Database Coordinator. This position assists the Development Team to ensure a high-quality database, timely and accurate donor acknowledgement, strategy regarding mailing segments and importing/exporting of data.
The Data Entry/Database Coordinator must hold to the doctrine and constitution/by-laws of Boise Rescue Mission Ministries. The Data Entry/Database Coordinator must be a regular attendee of a local church and be willing to sign and adhere to the Mission’s Statement of Faith.
This is a full-time position. Normal schedule is 8:00am to 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. Position requires working onsite in the Mission Administration building and daily local driving. This position may require occasional evenings and weekends outside of normal work hours.
Responsibilities and Necessary Skills Include:
- Communication: Works with Mission staff to ensure accuracy of data, mailings, etc. Sends daily thank you call reports to staff.
- Production: Assists with daily donation batches. Pick up and drop off mail at local post office. Runs and exports data for mailings, event invitations, phone calls, etc. Imports mailing data into database. Consistently cleans up database addresses, zip codes, etc. Assists with printing and mailing in-house special mailings. Ensures thank you letters mailed to donors within 24 hours of gift receipt. Assists Development Communications team with mailing counts, appeal codes, etc. Requests, edits and imports multiple thank you letters every month.
- Critical Thinking: Evaluates data base and seeks to utilize it more efficiently. Makes decisions regarding data entry in partnership with staff, Chief Development Officer and Business Manager.
- Manage Database: Checks data entry for accuracy. Trains all Mission staff in the use of the database. In-house troubleshooter for database.
- Flexibility: Willing to take on other responsibilities as needed to support the work of the Mission.
